Hookup Diagram
This is how I had my
Motorola Maxtrac's mic
connector wired up to
Board.

And now another
the Maxtrac.
Jumper Setup
16 Pin Accessory plug on rear of radio
You can wire the through the Microphone jack,
or through the 16 pin accessory jack on the rear
of the radio.
(I have done both ways)

Modifing a 5 pin logic board of a maxtrac
for COS through mic jack pin 1
A good place to get COR is the collector of Q552, near the audio mute gate. Bring this point out to the logic board connector J8 pin 8 (unused) with a diode (diode cathode to collector of Q552). This pin should already be wired to pin 1 of the MIC connector in the control head. This pin 1 is the top pin in the mic connector.
Because of the added diode, this pin will now sink current only, so an external pull-up resistor may be needed depending on the application. If a pull-up resistor is needed, I suggest something between 2K and 4.7K depending on the drive requirements of the device looking for COR.
If this COR signal is used for driving the PTT input of another radio, no pull-up is needed since the PTT line is already pulled up in side the TX radio.
Just as a note, I am no longer using the Rigblaster
in my Echolink configuration.
I am now running IRLP with Echolink added to it.
